Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Philippians chapter 4:
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
We all have a certain amount of time in a day to focus on what we individually believe is important. What we do with our time actually reflects our priorities just as what we spend our money on is an indication of our priorities as well. I strongly urge those who read these blogs to allocate time each day to pursue a closer relationship with FATHER through prayer and supplication (petition) as well as meditating on HIM in a quiet, undistracted state. As we do HIS peace will guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
There are times when we have been deployed to do things for FATHER but there are also times when we should be still before HIM. HE is not a taskmaster who expects us to be busy all the time and HE knows better than anyone that we need rest. Many of us are bombarded each day with the world’s agenda and issues thus we must guard our hearts lest the peace be taken from us. If we perceive anxiety coming upon us then it is time to seek to be close to HIM until that anxiety subsides, for IN HIM we have our being.
HIS peace will surpass our understanding. We must not attempt to analyze the situation we are in attempting to conjure up our own peace but let FATHER immerse us in HIS peace. Since HIS ways are higher than ours, let us simply accept HIS peace without having the full understanding many seek.
FATHER has no issue with us petitioning HIM to meet our needs. After all, HE is Jehovah Jireh OUR PROVIDER. No matter how mature we become we should not allow self righteousness keep us from petitioning FATHER to meet a particular need. Jesus had no issue in praying before FATHER on a daily basis as He would separate Himself to commune with FATHER. Jesus is our best example so let us not hesitate to pray daily.
When we pray to FATHER it is an act of faith and trust IN HIM. Since HE is the Creator we should come to HIM in thanksgiving knowing that HE has given us access to HIM to minister life to us whenever the need arises. This in itself should increase our peace. Because of HIS Love HE sent HIS Son to reconcile us to HIM so we should not hesitate to include Our Heavenly Father when we come up against the challenges set before us in this world. HE is greater than any sickness or disease and HE knows the best course to take to remedy us of the malady. You can be assured that HIS remedy will be specific to our situation and for our particular good. HE will heal some instantly and others will be directed toward other means. HE may use a combination of things to bring forth our healing so we should not second guess HIS Wisdom but allow HIM to direct our footsteps to restoration. When we are fully led by THE SPIRIT then HIS peace will reign in our hearts.
