Reversing The Curse

By THE SPIRIT it is written in Genesis chapter 2:

8 The LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed.

9 And out of the ground the LORD God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

After Adam and Eve chose to eat of the fruit of the second tree resulting in the curse:

24 So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.

Man who once dwelt in life left the garden and proceeded to die a slow death and thus as Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Romans chapter 5:

12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned.

The garden was protected by angelic sentries and a flaming sword which turned every way in order to keep the way of the tree of life.  This sword was designed to allow no entries by any means other than by death to the one who attempted entry.  Those who attempted would surely die in an effort to reach the tree of life.  FATHER means business concerning this precious tree of life.  Before Adam fell, he surely walked in a glorified state for he was not naked but clothed in glory.  Eve also walked in the same glory for when they sinned, they perceived their nakedness.  Death had begun its course.

In Genesis chapter 48 is the first mention of sickness.  Jacob was suffered:

1 Now it came to pass after these things that Joseph was told, “Indeed your father is sick”; and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.

The following provides perspective of how long it took for sin to overcome man once the glory was removed (Genesis chapter 5):

Adam was 130  when Seth was born in the year 130

Seth was 105  when Enos was born in the year 235

Enos was 90  when Cainan was born in the year 325

Cainan was 70  when Mahalaleel was born in the year 395

Mahalaleel was 65  when Jared was born in the year 460

Jared was 162  when Enoch was born in the year 622

Enoch was 65  when Methuselah was born in the year 687

Methuselah was 187  when Lamech was born in the year 874

Lamech was 182  when Noah was born in the year 1056

Noah was 502  when Shem was born in the year 1558

Shem was 100  when Arphaxad was born in the year 1658

Arphaxad was 35  when Salah was born in the year 1693

Salah was 30  when Eber was born in the year 1723

Eber was 34  when Peleg was born in the year 1757

Peleg was 30  when Reu was born in the year 1787

Reu was 32  when Serug was born in the year 1819

Serug was 30  when Nahor was born in the year 1849

Nahor was 29  when Terah was born in the year 1878

Terah was 70  when Abram was born in the year 1948

Notice the gradual decline in age, yet Noah was 502 years old when he begat Shem.  Sickness was never mentioned until Abraham’s grandson.

Now let’s consider the reversal.  Jesus died for our sins and our sicknesses but first He received stripes representing sickness before He went to the cross.  Jesus goes to the garden at night to pray and He is betrayed by Judas and taken from the garden.  Luke wrote by THE SPIRIT in chapter 22:

63 Now the men who held Jesus mocked Him and beat Him.

He has now received stripes on His back prior to being sentenced to death.  Upon His death on the cross, He is placed in a garden tomb thus because of sin Adam left the garden being subjected to death and to reverse the curse, Jesus returned to the garden to conquer death.  His death was ordained and accomplished by Him moving toward the flaming sword of FATHER’S Word.  Sin could not enter into the original garden and partake the tree of life.  I believe if Adam had been willing to die to the flesh and approach the sentries with the flaming sword, he would have then been restored.  It was not to be.  Jesus became the manifested Word and revealed the necessity of dying to the flesh in order to eat of the tree of Life.  Included in this reversal is health, healing, and full restoration.  We cannot separate these benefits from the salvation Jesus provides for us.  It was as necessary to reverse sickness and disease as it was to reverse death.  Now consider what Peter wrote by THE SPIRIT in his second epistle chapter 2:

24  who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.

Let us embrace all aspects of the reverse of the curse.

PS:  When I came into my office this morning to write this blog, the wall clock (run by battery) was reset to exactly one hour earlier sometime in the night hours.  No one has been in our house with the exception of our Heavenly guest who shows up often lately.  I suppose FATHER wanted to affirm the importance of understanding about “reversing time”.  After all, HE is not limited to time.
