Superabounding

By THE SPIRT Peter wrote in his 2 Epistle in chapter 1 and I speak to you this day:

2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,

3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,

4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

I write daily that good fruit may abound to your account to the point where your are “superabounding”.  It is one thing for us to receive blessing and healing but it is far greater that we live in abundance to the point where we bless others.  When we are at this level we are walking in great faith.  Would you prefer to meet minimum requirements or walk exceedingly above expectations?  Peter continues:

5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge,

6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness,

7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.

8 For if these things are yours and abound (pleonazō), you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.

Pleonazō is defined as- to superabound: of things, to exist in abundance, to increase, be augmented; to make to increase.  We are not called to “barely” get by and live on the edge of scarcity all our lives.  However, we are instructed to be diligent in increasing our faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control… ultimately we are to walk in Love.

Many actually take offense when I write about being in abundance because they are not walking in abundance and want to protect their past beliefs and decisions which have brought them to the place where they are at.  Let us not justify our lack in various areas but instead let us repent and embrace these Truths written to instruct us to move to a higher level in Christ.  How can we be a blessing to those in need if we are in need ourselves?  If we have a pure heart and seek HIS blessings in order to be a greater blessing to others then we have unlocked the mystery of superabounding.  By THE SPIRIT Paul wrote concerning superabounding in Philippians chapter 4:

15 Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only.

16 For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities.

17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds (pleonazō) to your account.

18 Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.

19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

When you bless others, your giving becomes a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice and well pleasing to FATHER.  The Philippians funded Paul’s ministry so that he could go into all the world and preach the Gospel.  It is apparent that Paul could make a living by being in the  tent-making business yet he was called to travel in order to spread The Gospel to others.  The Philippians were part of his ministry and his blessing from Above.  FATHER has put a law in place called “seedtime and harvest” also known as “sowing and reaping”.  In Matthew chapter 13, Jesus spoke:

18 “Therefore hear the parable of the sower:

19 When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside.

20 But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy;

21 yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.

22 Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.

23 But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it,who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

Those who produce a hundredfold are surely in the superabounding category.  You have a choice to be in one of the following categories: hundredfold, sixtyfold, thirtyfold, zero, or negative.  Don’t be shortsighted even to blindness toward His Word.
