Quality Time

By THE SPIRIT Luke wrote in chapter 6:

12 Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

13 And when it was day, He called His disciples to Himself; and from them He chose twelve whom He also named apostles

Jesus found in necessary to pray all night to FATHER and thus we should not take this time lightly.  He was about to select the twelve apostles among the other disciples.  There were three, there were twelve, and there were seventy who had various levels of disclosure in His earthly ministry.  Jesus Himself said that He and FATHER were One thus He took  His directives from FATHER at all times.  We too must be willing to spend the necessary time with FATHER as Jesus did.  His time with FATHER was not one of drudgery but instead of revitalization.  He prayed all night and was refreshed then ministered all day.

After His selection of the apostles:

17 And He came down with them and stood on a level place with a crowd of His disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and from the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear Him and be healed of their diseases,

18 as well as those who were tormented with unclean spirits. And they were healed.

19 And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all.

As we spend more time with FATHER we too will have the necessary resources to minister in a greater fashion.  Let us establish priorities which lay up riches in Heaven for that is our final destination.  WE must not assume that a two minute prayer can satisfy the requirements of each day but let us place priority on spending time with FATHER.  Consider a place without distraction.  If your mind wanders while meditating on the Word then speak to it and realign it with your priority and focus.  If you have a lot going on, write down all the issues at hand so you can clear your mind.  Spending time with FATHER should become our highest priority, not some occasional afterthought.

Jesus did not “accidentally” heal them all, He already knew what to expect by His quality time with FATHER.  Have a blessed Christmas as we celebrate Our Elder Brother on this day as we should everyday.
