The Law of Reflection -or- The Man in The Mirror

By THE SPIRIT James wrote in chapter 1:

22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;

24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.

25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

A mirror reflects and represents what it sees.  If you smile, you receive a smile from the mirror.  If you snarl, you receive the same.  If you Love then you will receive Love.  Ultimately we can only harvest what we plant and if we will only look in the mirror, we will quickly comprehend the seeds we are planting in others’ lives.  If FATHER Loves a generous and cheerful giver then how does HE responds to one who is selfish?  Jesus clearly states what will result for this person in Matthew chapter 25:

29 ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. 30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

This Truth goes counter to what the world teaches and the less “world” we have in us the more generous we become.  “Stuff” becomes less important to us as we seek the Heavenly reward.  The world would have us fearful of loss and the inability to flourish in the future, thus their answer is always war in order to get resources from others.  This attitude of entitlement is in direct conflict to the teachings and actions of Jesus for He taught us that we would be sufficient in all things as we became mature in Spiritual matters.  In some cases we will no longer require what we thought we needed.  In other cases, FATHER will provide the abundance to satisfy all our need.  In any case, we are sufficient in all things.

By THE SPIRIT Paul wrote Galatians chapter 6:

6 Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.

7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

You reap what you sow.  This law has been in effect since the beginning of time yet people often fail to walk according to this law but instead attempt to defy it.  They want FATHER to bless them yet they never plant any seed so that they will receive a harvest.  Our intent in planting the seed determines our harvest, not the apparent result associated with the recipient.  People have harshly judged the evangelists, churches, and ministry projects of the past.  However FATHER has had my family give to many of those who are now being judged.  As I cheerfully gave, FATHER cheerfully supplied all my need according to HIS Riches.  My willingness to give is what determines my reward.  The recipients use or misuse of funds determines their reward or judgment.  FATHER is aware of all aspects of giving and receiving.  As we do our part we open ourselves up to HIS blessing.

It is time to look in the mirror and critically assess what we see.  It we don’t like what we see then change!
