Serving In The Newness

By THE SPIRIT Paul wrote in Romans chapter 7:

4 Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God.

5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death.

6 But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.

Everyone is subject to to either their flesh or Our Heavenly Father.  The Law sentenced us to death but Christ fulfilled the Law that we might live.  The Law defined our lawlessness and thus we were obligated to its judgments concerning death but when we died with Christ we are no longer under the Law because His Blood fulfilled the Law on our behalf.

We either produce fruit unto death or fruit unto life so let us be in agreement with FATHER by aligning our wills with HIS and serve in the newness of THE SPIRIT rather than under the penalty of the Law.  In Matthew 20, Jesus spoke:

25 But Jesus called them to Himself and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them.

26 Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant.

27 And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave—

28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

The ego wants to be served and return us to the path which leads toward death and destruction.  In the newness of THE SPIRIT we decide to put the old man to death and become willing servants to every Word which proceeds out of FATHER’S Mouth.  Those Words include the Written Word and moreover HIS specific Words to us by HIS SPIRIT.  Jesus did not walk around with a stack of Old Testament scrolls yet FATHER’S Words were in Him.  This is because Jesus fully aligned His Will with FATHER’S Divine Intent, Will, and purpose.  He continuously communed with FATHER as He stated in John chapter 10:

25 Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me.

26 But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you.

27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.

30 I and My Father are one.”

As we serve in the newness of THE SPIRIT we too will be one with Our Heavenly Father and we will bear fruit to HIM.  We too will reach the point where we will be able to say “When you see me you have seen Our Heavenly Father” for we shall fully bear witness of HIM by the fruit of life we feed to others.  We become fully willing to serve all of mankind, both friend and foe.  Paul was an enemy of Christ whom Christ converted and thus we must look at all men and women as eventual brothers and sisters in Christ.  In the end, they will be for time is the only issue in their conversion.  Let us not delay in walking in the newness of SPIRT but let us purpose each and every day to align our will with HIS by spending time in receiving our directives for the day.  Let men see us as being blessings in their lives for we serve THE CREATOR of Heaven and earth WHO represents the fullness of life.  Let us become the Living Word for as He is so are we.
