Holding Your Tongue

As is our custom and pleasure, we had coffee with our friends Kemper and Shari.  FATHER ultimately guided our discussion to an area that needed to be addressed among the brethren- knowing when to speak and when to remain silent.  FATHER awoke me early with the following passage:

Psalm 39:1 I said, “I will guard my ways,

Lest I sin with my tongue;

I will restrain my mouth with a muzzle,

While the wicked are before me.”

2 I was mute with silence,

I held my peace even from good;

And my sorrow was stirred up.

Some of the mysteries be revealed to us by FATHER is not for us to share with everyone.  There are those who are called to the Holy of Holies, others to the Holy Place, and many others called to the Outer Court.  Then there are those who will inhabit the outer darkness, the farthest point from the Throne.  It is not our decision who ends up where but only FATHER’S.  HE will lead, guide, and speak to us when it is appropriate to share a revelation of a mystery given to us.  Our words become fewer as we ponder the path HE has put us on.

Isaiah 22:22 The key of the house of David I will lay on his shoulder;

So he shall open, and no one shall shut; And he shall shut, and no one shall open.

A key allows you access or restricts you from entering in or out.  I believe the Key of David represents the revelation of Love but I am fully aware that it may also represent other aspects of the Kingdom.  “Unlocking” the character of FATHER and walking in that revelation places you in the supernatural realm and what you see and hear is not for everyone.  However this revelation is to allow you to serve in a much greater capacity than you would otherwise.  It is not to be used as a means to separate yourself as one of the “privileged” or “elite”.  You are to make yourself of no reputation for after all you are only a vessel to be used by FATHER.

Mary, the mother of Jesus, understood the need to hold her tongue.  In Luke 2:

18 And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds.

19 But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart.

She heard the Truth of her son Jesus and knew the implication of revealing all that she had been told.  For His benefit, she kept quiet.

In the times ahead it will become increasingly important to watch your words and what you share as FATHER unlocks mysteries to the initiated.  The babes won’t understand the revelation, the immature will misuse and abuse it, but the mature will have ears to hear.  Jesus spoke in John chapter 12:

49 “For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak.

50 And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.”

We must be sensitive to whom and what FATHER wants spoken so we must be sensitive to FATHER opening and closing doors.  Don’t try to force the door in either direction.
