In order to be a son “in whom HE is well pleased”, we must be cleansed and qualified. Do you think FATHER will commit the power and authority of HIS Kingdom into unqualified, immature hands? These sons must have the Spirit of THE LORD and secondly they must have the Spirit of Wisdom.
“FATHER, I surrender to your guidance and your Will in even the least of things!” is my prayer. By HIS Wisdom was the foundation of the earth laid. Wisdom is a tree of life to those who embrace her. Without wisdom you have no foundation to walk on. "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of GOD" (Rom. 8:14). The sons are called to walk in HIS manifold Spirit, in the perfection brought forth only by maturity through adversity, sorrow, hindrances, calamities, disappointments, and tragedy. The issue is how we respond to those tests, trials, and tribulation. We certainly need Wisdom from Above for a correct response. What good is wisdom except by responding with obedience:
Hebrews 5:8 though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.
9 And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,
10 called by God as High Priest “according to the order of Melchizedek,”
Solomon received wisdom yet in the final analysis, he took on a multitude of wives and concubines who led him to worship idols. He failed to be obedient to the wisdom he received.
We only have to look up at the sky at night to see the result of obedience to wisdom. The stars and the planets remain in full obedience to HIS Word. None are colliding with others and remain in equilibrium night after night. Yet the ego would have us believe and walk out something other than the Wisdom from Above.
From a young age, Jesus grew in wisdom:
Luke 2:
46 Now so it was that after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions. 47 And all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers. 48 So when they saw Him, they were amazed; and His mother said to Him, “Son, why have You done this to us? Look, Your father and I have sought You anxiously.”
49 And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?” 50 But they did not understand the statement which He spoke to them.
51 Then He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was subject to them, but His mother kept all these things in her heart. 52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.
Shouldn’t we walk in the same footsteps as the Pattern Son? His path is the pathway to life and wisdom is crucial to staying on the right path:
Ecclesiastes 7:12 For wisdom is a defense as money is a defense,
But the excellence of knowledge is that wisdom gives life to those who have it.
Jesus spoke in parables as Our Heavenly Father has spoken in mysteries, types, shadows, and allegories. How are we to fully understand the mysteries without the key to understanding? Only by the Spirit of Wisdom are we able to properly apply the truths that are contained therein. Jesus grew in wisdom and we must do the same! Wisdom allows us to rise above the circumstance we are in and respond accordingly. At that point, the circumstance on longer controls the outcome but instead we overcome the problem, no longer of being its victim.
Wisdom will be critical in the days ahead. Mankind is in desperate need for the answer to the implosion of the current system. It will be replaced and those endowed with Wisdom from Above will be the light unto the world. Our preparation continues at this very hour. Each of us will continue maturing by the tests and trials. James Chapter 1 encourages us with:
2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
Ask, knock, and seek… Wisdom is available to those who do so.
