The Truth is in Jesus

Love is the basic measure of Spiritual maturity and there are three main categories, two are mentioned in the New Testament.  The most immature category is eros. It means physical attraction, a selfish kind of love.  It focuses on physical need.  The second category is phileo, meaning brotherly love.  It is a conditional love based on fairness, equality in a legal sense.  It begins to give consideration to others in their relation to yourself.  Agape Love is the unconditional love that Our Heavenly Father shows through Jesus Christ.  This is where pure truth resides  The more immature people are in their maturity of Love, the less Truth they will walk in.

Jesus laid down His life for the entire world of the ungodly:

Romans 5:6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.  NKJV

Who will you lay down your life for?  The purity of Truth is found in those who have no ulterior motives in their relationship with others.  They present themselves as a Holy and acceptable sacrifice.  They present the Truth in Love following the example of Jesus, the pattern Son.  They are willing to serve in whatever capacity that presents itself.  They lead a productive life being a blessing to others.  Each day is filled with fruitfulness as they encounter needs presenting themselves to them.  You don’t need to seek Our Heavenly Father to determine which need to fulfill.  HE will guide you on a path full of needs and tasks to complete.  Just do them.  Find a blessing that needs fulfilled rather than waiting for one to track you down.  Express Love in action.  When do you start walking in Truth and Love?  Now and right where you have been planted.  We should be looking at ways to bless others rather than waiting for some fateful day when we think something noteworthy will cross our path.  Now is the time to walk as Jesus walked, not tomorrow or next week or at some point when you think you are finally ready.

Maturity occurs by experience.  Each of us will be tried and tested in our Love walk.  We will be shown what level of Love we are operating in.

Paul speaks of the New Man’s walk:

Ephesians 4:

17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest off the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, 18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; 19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

20 But you have not so learned Christ, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

Let us not walk in the futility, vanity, or emptiness of the mind for it will only lead to blindness of the heart.  It will lead you to a path of scarcity and you will respond with greed and depravity.  We must put off our former old man and walk in the Truth which is found in the Love presented to us by Jesus.  It is pure.  It has no private agendas or motivations to lead us astray.  It directs us toward the Heart of Our Heavenly Father.  We too should be known as a “man after GOD’s Own Heart”.  This is where total peace resides.  This is where the source of healing can be found.  This is where your calling will be discovered.  Do not delay.
