Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. NKJV
Back in the “Faith” movement, we were led to believe if we quoted the above Scripture enough, it would empower us. It was half true which was the problem. Yes, it is a true statement but you must include the intent behind the statement. A more complete confession would be “If I am walking in Love and according to my calling established by Our Heavenly Father’s Divine Intent, I can do all things through HIS empowerment and authority which strengthens me”.
Our Heavenly Father strengthen Jesus on two separate occasions by sending angels with the appropriate “anointing” to empower Him for the next stage of His ministry. After Jesus had been led into the wilderness for forty days to be tempted of the devil:
Matthew 4:11 Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.
Mark 1:13 And He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to Him.
The angels ministered or supplied Jesus with something He needed. In Luke, we see the result:
Luke 4:14 Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region. 15 And He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all.
Jesus returned in power. He left the wilderness weak but returned in power. The angels delivered something directly from Our Heavenly Father. The result was power and authority for the next 3 1/2 years of ministry.
The second empowerment came when Jesus was in the Garden of Gethsemane:
Luke 22:39 Coming out, He went to the Mount of Olives, as He was accustomed, and His disciples also followed Him. 40 When He came to the place, He said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.”
41 And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed,42 saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” 43 Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.
Surely if Jesus needed strengthening, each of us needs the same. We should expect an empowerment from Above as we move into the next phase of our ministry. We have been in the middle of our testing and maturing period. It is coming to an end. We have persevered through much. We should expect our angels to be dispatched on our behalf to bring forth the empowerment to ascend to the next level of ministry. Faith is the “energy” of Divine Intent. When you are aligned with Our Heavenly Father’s Divine Intent of Love, you should exercise your faith to bring forth the wholeness of your calling. You should expect an angelic event to take place as required for your impartation. We see where it was necessary for Jesus, the Son of GOD. Should we expect anything less than what our elder Brother required?
