Rooted and Grounded in Love

The Apostle Paul makes it quite clear that Love is critical to our walk if we are to move into the fullness of Our Heavenly Father.  Paul indicates that we can be strengthened with might through His Spirit in our inner man.  It is done according to the riches of HIS glory.

Ephesians 3:17 NKJV – that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—

People are in search of knowledge, but without understanding, knowledge is of little value.  It might even be a little dangerous.  Wisdom is the prerequisite to understanding being maximized for our use.  If you want to be highly successful, you must start with Love.  It is truly the prerequisite to tapping into the “riches of HIS glory”.  Paul knew this and emphasized it to us.  However, this has fallen on blind eyes and deaf ears for centuries.  Love is the key that unlocks revelation for this particular time in history.  In order to comprehend the width and length and depth and height, you must have the proper intent- Love.

Being rooted and grounded is not an overnight, instantaneous event.  The seed must be planted, watered, and protected.  It will then “take root”.  A foundation is built before raising the walls of the structure.  An improper foundation leads to disaster.  The root system of a large tree is massive.  Being rooted and grounded in Love is THE prerequisite for full comprehension and being filled with the fullness of Our Heavenly Father:

19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

How much clearer could Paul make it?

Why haven’t all Christians focused on Love versus about any other topic out there?  The ego knows that once Love has been rooted and grounded, its power is gone.  The fullness of Love brings forth the death to the old man.  That is the reality.  The old man will be kicking and screaming all the way to the grave.  We must not be discouraged as this battle occurs en route to the “fullness of God”.

Exodus 4:11 KJV – And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man’s mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?

Our Heavenly Father takes credit for deafness and blindness in the above Scripture.  Until we focus on Love(HIS Character), HE will withhold certain mysteries, power, and authority from us.  Why?  Without Love we would abuse power and authority.  We would ultimately use the power and authority for “self”.  Paul further explains:

1Cr 4:15 NKJV – For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet [you do] not [have] many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.

Instructors can provide knowledge and information, fathers also provide Love, wisdom, and understanding.  Paul saw the problem then and it is even a greater problem today.  Jesus was the ultimate expression of Love as our example.  HE walked in the fullness without abusing the power and authority.  He made it quite clear in Matthew 26:

52 But Jesus said to him, “Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. 53 Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels? 54 How then could the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen thus?”

Because He was fully rooted and grounded in Love, He did not dispatch the angels in order to preserve “self”.  What would you do in that situation?  Would you sacrifice “self” for the benefit of others?

In 2 Timothy 3, Paul warns us:

1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

The time is coming when the wheat and the tares will be separated.  Once the Remnant is fully matured, perilous times will be allowed to play out.  HE will move on Mystery Babylon in their blindness to take actions that will unexpectedly take down their kingdom.  The illusion of wealth will evaporate, people will become desperate, and they will seek the Truth.  The Remnant will be equipped with the “fullness of God” to bring forth HIS Kingdom.

The following 9 minute clip dramatizes the “perilous times” in today’s environment:
