Moses & Joshua needed a Brinks truck
July 22, 2013 – 4:30 pmWe tend to move past some interesting tidbits when studying Scripture. Our current Census has caused me to take a look at the “weight” of Our Heavenly Father’s Treasury based on the Census numbers in Numbers 26:
| Total Coins | 601,730 | |||
| Total Wt | 1 oz | 37608.13 | pounds | |
| 1/2 | 18804.06 | pounds | ||
| 1/4 | 9402.031 | pounds |
Even at 1/4 of an ounce, the total weight is over 4 1/2 tons. Nothing is ever mentioned about the logistics of moving the camp 41 times before entering the Promised Land on the 42nd move.
