FATHER’S Promise: Part 38

FATHER’S Master Plan will encourage those of us who have the correct priorities!

In life, timing is everything!  Stock market investors know this; athletes know this; and successful businessmen have discovered this Truth!

Paul earlier wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1st Timothy chapter 6:

13 So now, I instruct you before the God of resurrection Life and before Jesus, the Anointed One, Who demonstrated a beautiful testimony even before Pontius Pilate, 14 that you follow this commission faithfully with a clear conscience and without blemish until the appearing of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

15 Yes, God will make His appearing in His own Divine timing, for He is the exalted God, the only powerful One, the King over every king, and the Lord of power!

16 He alone is the immortal God, living in the unapproachable Light of Divine glory! No one has ever seen His fullness, nor can they, for all the glory and endless authority of the universe belongs to Him, forever and ever. Amen!

17 To all the rich of this world, I command you not to be wrapped in thoughts of pride over your prosperity, or rely on your wealth, for your riches are unreliable and nothing compared to the living God. Trust instead in the One Who lavishes upon us all good things, fulfilling our every need.

18 Remind the wealthy to be rich in remarkable works of extravagant generosity, willing to share with others.

19 These Spiritual investments will provide a beautiful foundation for their lives and secure for them a great future, as they lay their hands upon the meaning of true Life.

This series of teachings is to provide us with a foundation for our future.  The current culture promotes the future associated with a temporary world.  They promise health through science.  They use formulas to predict the future.

Who knows with certainty what lies ahead?  Jesus provides us with the answer.

Jesus spoke in John chapter 14:

5 Thomas said to him, “Master, we don’t know where you’re going, so how could we know the way there?”

6 Jesus explained, “I am the Way, I am the Truth, and I am the Life. No one comes next to the Father except through union with Me. To know Me is to know My Father too.

And…

15 “Loving Me empowers you to obey My commands.

16-17 And I will ask the Father and He will give you another Savior, the Holy Spirit of Truth, Who will be to you a friend just like Me—and He will never leave you. The world won’t receive Him because they can’t see Him or know Him. But you know Him intimately because He remains with you and will live inside you.

How critical is it to know the Truth about any situation?

There’s a real difference between having facts and knowing the Truth, and the gap between them can be risky in several ways—intellectually, morally, and especially  Spiritually.

1. Misinterpretation of reality

Facts are pieces of information; truth is the correct understanding of how those pieces fit together. You can have accurate data and still draw the wrong conclusion. This is the core issue behind the confirmation bias—people select or interpret facts in ways that reinforce what they already believe. The risk is that you become confident while still being wrong.

2. False confidence

Facts can create an illusion of certainty. Someone may “know a lot” but lack Wisdom or context. Limited understanding leads to overestimating one’s knowledge. The danger is making decisions with misplaced confidence.

3. Fragmented understanding

Truth is coherent; facts alone can be disconnected. Without a unifying framework, facts can be used to support contradictory ideas. This can lead to confusion or manipulation—both self-deception and being misled by others.

4. Moral or spiritual blindness

In a Biblical sense, this issue shows up clearly in John 8:32: “You shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free.” The implication is that facts alone don’t bring freedom—Truth does. The Pharisees, for example, knew the Scriptures in detail but often failed to recognize the deeper Truth they pointed to.

5. Vulnerability to deception

Facts can be selectively presented. Without understanding Truth, a person can be persuaded by technically correct statements that are misleading overall. This is how propaganda and misinformation often work—they rarely rely on outright lies, but on partial Truths.

To summarize, facts are like puzzle pieces. Truth is seeing the whole picture correctly assembled. The risk of having facts without Truth is not ignorance—it’s misguided certainty, which can be more dangerous than not knowing at all.  This is why it is critical to be led by The Holy Spirit as we approach the catching away of the True church.

The five wise virgins understood the importance of being ready at all times.  Their priorities focused on the Eternal, not the temporary.  Don’t be caught unprepared!
