Embrace and walk in the Truth of The Word!
Jesus spoke in John chapter 8:
31 Jesus said to those Jews who believed in Him, “When you continue to embrace all that I teach, you prove that you are My True followers.
32 For if you embrace the Truth, it will release True freedom into your lives.”
The Truth Jesus gives us releases from the bondage of our past, the bondage of our sins, and the bondage of religion. Truth must be embraced and worked out through the Divine process of Spiritual maturity. The Greek word for “truth” is reality. To embrace the reality of Christ brings more freedom into your life.
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Galatians chapter 5:
1 At last we have freedom, for Christ has set us free! We must always cherish this Truth and firmly refuse to go back into the bondage of our past.
Our past should not hold us bondage and keep us from moving forward toward full spiritual maturity.
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2nd Corinthians chapter 5:
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
The adversary will try to dig up our past in order to keep us in bondage. We must reject those thoughts and move forward in Truth. We must protect our thoughts and not allow lust of any type to be contemplated.
Paul understood the necessity of protecting our thoughts and not allowing ourselves to dwell on the past.
He wrote by The Holy Spirit in Philippians chapter 4:
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things.
We must protect our thought life and embrace the Life of Christ! Love what GOD Loves and hate what GOD hates. We are to hate our past sins so that we will sin no more. Are you going to serve GOD through Jesus or are you going to serve the devil through sin?
What is the primary strategy of the devil in enticing you to sin? He wants to keep you from witnessing and discipling others. He wants to make you feel guilty so that you will not fulfill the Great Commission beginning with “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.”
How many believers go and preach the Gospel to others? How many testify of what Christ has done for them?
Jesus spoke in John chapter 14:
12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
What is the greatest work you can do for another? Minister salvation to that person. The disciples could not minister salvation to the crowds because Jesus had not yet gone to the cross and paid for the sins of the world. However, once this was accomplished, He provided a means for us to do the ‘greatest work” we could do… minister Eternal Life to another person. This is the essence of unconditional Love. We all should embrace this first command!
