Our meat is to do the Will of GOD!
We are meant to transition from the milk of The Word to the “meat” of The Word just as Jesus did the Will of HIM Who sent Him.
Jesus spoke in John chapter 4:
31 Then the disciples began to insist that Jesus eat some of the food they brought back with them, saying, “Teacher, you must eat something.”
32 But He said to them, “I have meat to eat of which you do not know.”
33 Puzzled by this, the disciples began to discuss it among themselves, “Did someone already bring him food?”
34 To clarify, Jesus spoke up and said, “My meat is to do the Will of Him Who sent Me and bring it to completion (to be finished).”
Jesus spoke in the following confirming passages in the Gospels:
Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto Me in Heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. KJV
Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My Name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. KJV
As we mature in Christ and fully accept being joint heirs with Him, we will come to the realization that we have been given the same power and authority that Jesus walked in.
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 8:
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
Many believers want to be known as sons of GOD, but we need to walk and minister accordingly. We are to deliver restoration to those in need and this includes healing of their bodies as a sign to the unbeliever of who we are in Christ.
This is what it means to be a doer of The Word, not a hearer only. Those who are on the milk of The Word are the hearers and are not yet producing fruit on behalf of The Kingdom.
15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”
The mature sons of GOD place their trust in FATHER and seek only to do HIS Will on earth. They make no personal claims to be exalted but only seek to exalt the Name of Jesus Christ when signs come forth.
16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
17 and if children, then heirs-heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
The Holy Spirit in us will bear witness of who we are as we go forth into the world. Each one of us is a missionary in our own designated mission field. Your mission field may be your city, county, or state. You don’t have to go to Africa to be a missionary. Your field may even simply be your street.
Will there be those who reject Christ when you minister Him to them? Sadly, yes. It will be painful to see their rejection just as it was painful to Christ to see the same rejection in Jerusalem in His final days on earth.
Being a missionary with signs following is simpler than you think. I will write more establishing the foundation of being a doer and walking out our mission.
