Jesus walked in the power of The Holy Spirit as a man so that He could be our example!
The following verse summarizes how Jesus impacted the world.
Luke recorded by The Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 10:
38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, Who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
In this verse, Jesus’ humanity is emphasized with the description: Jesus of Nazareth, a man, not the Son of GOD, although He was the Lamb of GOD. This allows Him to be our perfect Example, confirming that we have the same opportunity to walk and be led by The Holy Spirit and anointed with power. Jesus’ humanity is what needed to be anointed. As God, Jesus needed no anointing.
Power is not an addition to The Holy Spirit; it is an emphasis of The Holy Spirit.
Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 6:
33 But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
His righteousness is not separate from the Kingdom of God but is an emphasis of the Kingdom.
Paul provided us with additional clarification as he wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 14:
17 for the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking (the natural realm), but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
18 For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men.
Jesus never stopped being the Son of GOD but took on humanity to show us that we too could bring forth the Kingdom of GOD on earth. Entirely GOD became entirely man. Jesus fully accepted His humanity because His Love for us required a perfect Blood sacrifice.
This is a key point that we must embrace in order to move on to full maturity. At what level of maturity are you satisfied with?
Jesus established His expectation of those who are willing to fully submit to The Holy Spirit in their daily walk.
Jesus spoke in John chapter 14:
12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
If Jesus did His miracles as God, we are all impressed but then we are just spectators. When we realize that He did His miracles as a man yielded to GOD, then we should no longer be satisfied to stay where we are at. With this revelation, we are meant to pursue walking in the Example given to us as we pursue the path toward maturity in Christ. If it were not possible, then Jesus would not expect us to do greater works than Him.
His example summons me, it provokes me to move toward walking in greater works. This is not the time to move toward passivity.
While riding in the car recently, my wife had an open vision. She saw an open door in the sky and in the opening was a deeper blue than the physical sky around the door. Open Heaven is upon us.
