Walking in Life requires a renewed mind!
It is written by The Holy Spirit in Hebrews chapter 11:
3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
In other Words, faith empowers us to see that the universe was created and beautifully coordinated by the power of God’s Words! He spoke and the invisible realm gave birth to all that is seen.
We understand because we believe! Faith gives us access to a level of understanding you can’t get through human reasoning. Reasoning apart from The Word is carnal.
The renewed mind is the target of The Lord in your life every single day of your life. HE constantly repositions us for thinking not just creatively but thinking like Christ. The renewed mind is able to create a context for faith. Faith will often demonstrate itself in Kingdom understanding.
Faith doesn’t come from the mind thus faith is not an intellectual matter. It is not the product of self-discipline.
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 10:
10 The heart that believes in HIM receives the gift of the righteousness of God—and then the mouth confesses, resulting in salvation.
Faith comes from surrender to The Word, not striving. It is the product of yielding to the Spirit of GOD and the Word of GOD.
Jesus spoke in Luke chapter 8:
21 But Jesus answered and said to them, “My mother and My brothers are these who hear the Word of God and do (obey and put It into practice) it.”
As we obey HIM, the encounters HE takes us into allow us to think and see differently. We need to never forget these events because recounting them will keep our faith level up. We must not be forgetful hearers of The Word.
James wrote by The Holy Spirit in James chapter 1:
22 Don’t just listen to the Word of Truth and not respond to It, for that is the essence of self-deception. So always let his Word become like poetry written and fulfilled by your life!
23 If you listen to the Word and don’t live out the message you hear, you become like the person who looks in the mirror of the Word to discover the reflection of his face in the beginning.
24 You perceive how God sees you in the mirror of the Word, but then you go out and forget your Divine Origin.
25 But those who set their gaze deeply into the perfecting Law of liberty are fascinated by and respond to the Truth they hear and are strengthened by it—they experience God’s blessing in all that they do!
There are enemies to our renewed mind. Their goal is to disengage us from the renewed mind. The enemy wants us to think logically and reasonably apart from The Word. Those who succumb to such misdirection, are actually hostile toward GOD and the Ways of GOD.
The mindset of the flesh is not neutral, it is hostile towards GOD.
Paul expresses this Truth as he wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 8:
7 In fact, the mind-set focused on the flesh fights God’s plan and refuses to submit to his direction, because it cannot!
8 For no matter how hard they try, God finds no pleasure with those who are controlled by the flesh.
9 But when the Spirit of Christ empowers your life, you are not dominated by the flesh but by the Spirit. And if you are not joined to the Spirit of the Anointed One, you are not of Him.
The mindset of THE SPIRIT is Life and peace.
Paul continues:
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors-not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.
13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
A person with a renewed mind will be led by The Holy Spirit and will be known as a son of GOD.
