To what degree are you satisfied with where you are at?
Moses recorded by The Holy Spirit in Exodus chapter 16:
15 So when the children of Israel saw it, they said to one another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, “This is the bread (manna) which the LORD has given you to eat.
16 This is the thing which the LORD has commanded: ‘Let every man gather it according to each one’s need, one omer for each person, according to the number of persons; let every man take for those who are in his tent.'”
17 Then the children of Israel did so and gathered, some more, some less.
18 So when they measured it by omers, he who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack. Every man had gathered according to each one’s need.
19 And Moses said, “Let no one leave any of it till morning.”
35 And the children of Israel ate manna forty years, until they came to an inhabited land; they ate manna until they came to the border of the land of Canaan.
And in Exodus chapter 13:
21 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night.
22 He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people.
When GOD reveals something in HIS Nature, HE always includes an invitation to know HIM in that way. In the above passages, HE revealed HIMSELF as Our Provider. HIS Nature in that area has never ceased. If anything, its revelation has expanded.
The children of Israel were shown another facet of GOD’S Nature in Exodus chapter 15:
22 So Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea; then they went out into the Wilderness of Shur. And they went three days in the wilderness and found no water.
23 Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah.
24 And the people complained against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?”
25 So he cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet. There He made a statute and an ordinance for them, and there He tested them,
26 and said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His Sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD Who heals you.”
Even though the people complained, FATHER healed their water and declared that it is HE Who heals us. It is HIS Nature to heal. This is why we see countless healings by Jesus in the Gospels. HIS Nature of healing continues to the very day. Both my wife and I have received supernatural healings that left the doctors speechless.
Moses recorded by The Holy Spirit in Exodus chapter 33:
13 Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people.”
Once you see what the sign points to, you’re never satisfied with only a sign.
Remembering His works reminds us of Who He is and His faithfulness. Miracles are supposed to point us to God and reveal His Nature. We must steward the memories and testimonies of what God has done for us personally, and for His people throughout history. Signs, wonders, and miracles reveal His Nature as a Good and Perfect Father Who Loves His children.
Miracles bring glory to God as people turn and praise Him for what He has done, but more than a moment of praise, these signs must become the lens through which we see life and the situations we face. Our ability to hear God’s Voice is redefined by what we understand about Who God is.
Are you satisfied with your current ability to hear and respond to GOD’S Voice? I’m not! We should always desire more of HIM and less of us in our walk.
Wisdom spoke in Proverbs chapter 19:
23 When you live a life of abandoned Love, surrendered before the Awe of God, here’s what you’ll experience: Abundant life. Continual protection. And complete satisfaction!
Full surrender requires us to hear and respond.
