In the last of the Last Days, let us consider what judgment lies ahead!
Each of us will be judged when we pass from time on earth to eternity of Heaven. There is no neutrality in judgment for it will either be positive or negative.
The Beloved Disciple recorded by The Holy Spirit in Revelation chapter 20:
11 Then I saw a great, dazzling-white Throne and the One who sits on it. Heaven and earth fled from His Presence and they were no more.
12 I saw the dead, the lowly and the famous alike, standing before the Throne. Books were opened, and then another book was opened: the Book of Life. The dead were judged by what they had done as recorded in the books.
13 And the sea gave up the dead souls that were in it. Then death and the underworld gave up their dead, and all were judged according to what they had done.
Heaven keeps a record of our entire lifetime. Those of us who are true believers in Christ are in the Book of Life. Our works will be judged along with our intent. Those who have lived a self-seeking life will have to face the assessment by THE LORD. There will be no excuses!
14 Then death and the realm of the dead were cast into the lake of fire, for the lake of fire is the second death.
15 And anyone whose name was not recorded in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
It will definitely be a fearful time for many who neglected the ministry of The Holy Spirit.
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 8:
7 In fact, the mind-set focused on the flesh fights God’s plan and refuses to submit to His direction, because it cannot!
8 For no matter how hard they try, God finds no pleasure with those who are controlled by the flesh.
9 But when the Spirit of Christ empowers your life, you are not dominated by the flesh but by The Holy Spirit. And if you are not joined to The Holy Spirit of the Anointed One, you are not of him.
Don’t allow yourself to be dominated by the flesh anymore. Make it your highest priority to be led by The Holy Spirit. It will pay dividends when you are at the Judgment Seat of Christ!
My wife and I have been simplifying our lives by eliminating unnecessary clutter in our home. How many times have I asked myself, “Why did we buy this in the first place!” Had we been fully led by The Holy Spirit, we would not have this clutter to deal with. The good news is that we have attempted to give anything of value to those who have need, especially clothes.
What possessions am I taking to the Judgment Seat of Christ? None.
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1st Corinthians chapter 3:
9 For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building.
10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it.
11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw,
13 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is.
14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.
15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.
16 Do you not know that you are the Temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
17 If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is Holy, which temple you are.
Are you building on this foundation with gold, silver, and/or precious stones?
Gold is Divine substance. Silver is redemption’s fruit. Precious stones are transformed lives. Wood, hay, and straw represent fleshly works. They grow up from the ground. Fire will cause the better material to grow brighter, but the inferior material will be consumed. How we build and what we build matters to GOD since we know that HE is recording everything we do.
My family’s priority is to focus on the Spiritual treasures of gold, silver, and precious stones. We rely on The Holy Spirit to guide us in such investment that will come through the fire.
