The world’s priorities are in direct opposition to GOD’S priorities!
What are your priorities? Do they align with GOD’S priorities, or do they align with the world’s? A person’s priorities reveal his or her mindset and path.
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2nd Timothy chapter 3:
1 But you need to be aware that in the final days the culture of society will become extremely fierce.
We have been warned that in the last days, the true church will be persecuted. We are now in the midst of the final days of the last days. Society is becoming so deranged that they are redefining terms to present their own definitions of truth. Light is now dark, and dark is now light. Homosexuality has become acceptable, redefining sex and redefining marriage are now being embraced by an increasing number of people including certain church denominations.
2 People will be self-centered lovers of themselves and obsessed with money. They will boast of great things as they strut around in their arrogant pride and mock all that is right. They will ignore their own families. They will be ungrateful and ungodly.
The first two priorities are lovers of self and lovers of money. Self-centeredness and greed are all around us.
3 They will become addicted to hateful and malicious slander. Slaves to their desires, they will be ferocious, belligerent haters of what is good and right.
I am personally amazed at people who hate what is good and right. What a perversion!
4 With brutal treachery, they will act without restraint, bigoted and wrapped in clouds of their conceit. They will find their delight in the pleasures of this world more than the pleasures of the loving God.
Their third priority is that they are lovers of pleasure. They are so focused on entertainment that they spend an excessive amount of time and money on pleasure while people suffer all around them. In 2024, the average price of a Super Bowl ticket was reportedly $8,600. In 1967, it was $10.
5 They may pretend to have a respect for God, but in reality, they want nothing to do with God’s power. Stay away from people like these!
This verse leads us to believe that there are people in church that in reality, have no interest if GOD’S priorities. Where they spend their time and money reveals whose priorities are important to them.
6 For they are the ones who worm their way into the hearts of vulnerable women, spending the night with those who are captured by their lusts and steeped in sin.
Would abortion be such an issue if righteousness prevailed in people’s lives? They simply want to fulfill the lust of the flesh without accepting responsibility for their actions.
7 They are always learning but never discover the revelation-knowledge of Truth.
The world has an insatiable desire for knowledge as it fits their worldly priorities. Pharmaceuticals have replaced GOD’S healing power. Influencers attempt to project their opinions to move people in a certain way. They are attempting to counter those who are being led by The Holy Spirit.
8 History has given us an example of this with the Egyptian sorcerers Jannes and Jambres, who stood against Moses in their arrogance. So it will be in the last days with those who reject the faith with their corrupt minds and arrogant hearts, standing against the Truth of God.
9 But they will not advance, for everyone will see their madness, just as they did with Jannes and Jambres!
From my vantage point, it looks like we are in the final days of the last days so don’t be surprised by the persecution coming forth against FATHER’S elect!
