Pursuing Holiness- Part 23

When you give, let it be done in Holiness!

Giving is meant to be a Holy act done with a pure heart.

King David recorded by THE SPIRIT in Psalm chapter 29:

2 Give unto the LORD the glory due to His Name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of Holiness.

And Moses recorded by The Spirit in Deuteronomy chapter 14:

23 And you shall eat before the Lord your God in the place in which He will cause His Name, His Presence and Holiness to dwell the tithe (tenth) of your grain, your new wine, your oil, and the firstlings of your herd and your flock, that you may learn [reverently] to fear the Lord your God always.

Our giving is one aspect of walking in Holiness.  It also reflects our mindset of walking in the Fear of THE LORD.  Let us be found in full compliance to this Truth.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2nd Corinthians chapter 9:

6  But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God Loves a cheerful giver.

8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

9 As it is written: “He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.”

10 Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness,

The Kingdom economy is based on Holy giving, not with a stingy heart or out of a sense of religious duty.

Paul also wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1st Timothy chapter 6:

17  To all the rich of this world, I command you not to be wrapped in thoughts of pride over your prosperity, or rely on your wealth, for your riches are unreliable and nothing compared to the living God. Trust instead in The One Who lavishes upon us all good things, fulfilling our every need.

18 Remind the wealthy to be rich in remarkable works of extravagant generosity, willing to share with others.

Ananias and Sapphira were stingy givers and lied about their giving in the midst of Holiness.  They paid a severe price for their mindset.  On the other hand, Barnabas gave with a spirit of generosity and encouragement thus he was named “the son of encouragement”.

Most of us have not had this level of understanding about the importance of our giving.  Grace and mercy prevail when we are immature and ignorant of such Truths.  Let us take heed to the necessity of walking in Holiness in all areas, including our tithes and offerings.

It is written by THE SPIRIT in Malachi chapter 3:

8  “Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings.

9 You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation. 10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My House, And try Me now in this,” Says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of Heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.

As we give in Holiness, FATHER commits HIMSELF to bless us.  Is there anyone more reliable than The King of the universe?
