Who Do You Serve? Part 3

Who do we serve, GOD or mammon?

What are the two doctrines in the church that have probably caused the most contention among Christians?  Divine healing and finances.  I have had both operate in my life, so I have no issue with them.  I can testify to their reality.

If the enemy can keep you sick and poor, he will severely limit your destiny.

Jesus spoke in John chapter 10:

10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have Life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

In other Words, the thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But Jesus came to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect—life in its fullness until you overflow!  The overflow allows you to be generous to those in need and help them achieve their callings as well.

Did the ministry of Jesus supply the needs for his disciples during His 3 ½ year ministry?  Did they have more than enough to distribute to the poor?  What Jesus spoke in John 10:10 is the real Gospel.

Our Heavenly Father does not want us sick and poor!  What did Jesus pay for at the cross?  He came that we would have Life and that we may have it more abundantly.  Those are His Words, not mine.  Are we to minimize the payment made by Jesus Himself?  Not me!

We are called to be stewards.

Jesus spoke in Luke chapter 12:

42  And the Lord said, “Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom His Master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season?

43 Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes.

44 Truly, I say to you that He will make him ruler over all that He has.

In other Words, “A Master will delegate authority in His House to a trustworthy and thoughtful manager who understands his Master’s desires. And the household manager will serve others what they need at exactly the right time.  And whenever His Master returns, He will find that His servant has served Him well. I promise you, the Master will reward him generously and he will be placed as an overseer of everything He owns.”

Jesus once again spoke in Luke chapter 16:

8   Jesus continued, “Remember this: The sons of darkness interact more wisely than the sons of light.

9 Use the wealth of this world to demonstrate your friendship with God by winning friends and blessing others. Then, when it runs out, your generosity will provide you with an eternal reward.

10 “The one who faithfully manages the little he has been given will be promoted and trusted with greater responsibilities. But those who cheat with the little they have been given will not be considered trustworthy to receive more.

11 If you have not handled the riches of this world with integrity, why should you be trusted with the Eternal treasures of the Spiritual World?

12 And if you’ve not proven yourself faithful with what belongs to another, why should you be given wealth of your own?  TPT

As we faithfully manage a little, we will be promoted to a higher level of trust.  We should be oriented toward multiplying and increasing.  Hoarding promotes the opposite.  Isaac was a great example of this Truth of multiplication and increase.

Moses recorded by The Spirit in Genesis chapter 26:

12  Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him.

13 The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous;

14 for he had possessions of flocks and possessions of herds and a great number of servants. So the Philistines envied him.

Isaac understood sowing and reaping, receiving a hundredfold, shouldn’t we?  Don’t we have a better Covenant?  It is imperative that we steward our blessings to further The Kingdom.

There are no recessions in Heaven.  There is no debt in Heaven.  There is no scarcity in Heaven.  Thy Kingdom Come as Thy Will be done!

GOD has abundance whereas the enemy has a limited, restricted budget.

If having wealth is bad, why did satan take Job’s wealth from him once he got the chance?  What did FATHER do for Job at the end of Job’s testing?

It is recorded by THE SPIRIT in Job chapter 42:

7  And so it was, after the LORD had spoken these Words to Job, that the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “My wrath is aroused against you and your two friends, for you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has.

8 Now therefore, take for yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, go to My servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and My servant Job shall pray for you. For I will accept him, lest I deal with you according to your folly; because you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has.”

9 So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went and did as the LORD commanded them; for the LORD had accepted Job.

10 And the LORD restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

12 Now the LORD blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; for he had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and one thousand female donkeys.

It is clear that the Nature of Our Heavenly Father is blessing and increase!
