Israel will suffer during the Great Tribulation, but many will finally accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior!
It is recorded by The Holy Spirit in Daniel chapter 12:
1 “At that time Michael shall stand up, The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; And there shall be a time of trouble, Such as never was since there was a nation, Even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, Every one who is found written in the book.
2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, Some to everlasting life, Some to shame and everlasting contempt.
3 Those who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever.
4 “But you, Daniel, shut up the Words, and seal the Book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”
In the Bible, the angel Michael is always presented as a military commander, while Gabriel always arrives with messages about the Messiah. Ultimately, the people of God will be driven to the wall, and then they will be saved. This message is a theme throughout the Old Testament.
Israel failed to continue in righteousness through the Old Testament, yet FATHER delivered them every time. Why? He had not forgotten His Covenant with Abraham. The theme remains the same. Israel fails to live by FATHER’S Commandments, judgment comes, captivity ensues, there is a call to repentance, and the people finally repent of the wicked ways. The Book of Hosea focuses on this repetitive process.
Jesus speaks of this very issue in Matthew chapter 23:
37 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!
38 See! Your house is left to you desolate;
39 for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the LORD!‘ “
Always pay close attention to words such as “till”.
This is the Heart of FATHER, to gather HIS people to Himself. The great tragedy is that so many times Israel would not. The Messiah came as promised on the precise day foretold centuries prior, fulfilling hundreds of Biblical details in order to authenticate Himself, yet the unrighteous would not have Him rule over them because in their sin they would not recognize Him. “We have no King but Caesar,” they cried.
FATHER is precise in HIS prophecies recorded in Scripture.
It recorded by THE SPIRIT in Daniel chapter 9:
20 Now while I was speaking, praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God,
21 yes, while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, reached me about the time of the evening offering.
22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, “O Daniel, I have now come forth to give you skill to understand.
23 At the beginning of your supplications the command went out, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved; therefore consider the matter, and understand the vision:
24 “Seventy weeks are determined For your people and for your holy city, To finish the transgression, To make an end of sins, To make reconciliation for iniquity, To bring in everlasting righteousness, To seal up vision and prophecy, And to anoint the Most Holy.
25 “Know therefore and understand, That from the going forth of the command To restore and build Jerusalem Until Messiah the Prince, There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; The street shall be built again, and the wall, Even in troublesome times.
26 “And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; And the people of the prince who is to come Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, And till the end of the war desolations are determined.
Gabriel tells Daniel that from the time the commandment was given to restore and build Jerusalem until the coming of Mashiah Nagid, the Messiah, the King, there would be 69 weeks of years. Calculated by the original 360-day year, that’s 173,880 days. We know the commandment was given to Nehemiah on March 14, 445 B.C., decreed by Artaxerxes Longimanus.
It is recorded in the book of Zechariah chapter 9:
9 “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, Lowly and riding on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.”
When did Jesus ride into Jerusalem on a colt? Jesus rides the donkey from Bethany over the Mount of Olives down through what’s called the Golden Gate into Jerusalem. That incredibly detailed fulfillment took place on April 6, 32 A.D., exactly 173,880 days after the decree issued by Artaxerxes to restore and reconstruct Jerusalem. Yes, it is helpful to understand history.
FATHER says what HE means and means what HE says… exactly!
